Amazon.com is a fine introductory site for those who may wish to try assembling a simple rocket from a kit, or who look at model rockets as a fun toy. There's only one selection each of supplies like recovery wadding and standard motors, the only other products offered are a limited selection of easy kits. However, there is a category menu on the left which allows you to click on a brand and see more components, such as three basically similar Aerotech reload kits. Amazon is best for those who want to play around with a novice level rocket or purchase a toy-like gift for someone. It’s good for the kiddies, but not a site for serious rocketeers.

There isn't much rocketry to choose from Amazon. The company stocks the basic minimum, which is fine if that's all you want. But if there's any chance you may wish to delve further into the hobby, it's better to order from one of the more specialized model rocket stores in our review.
Amazon sells a little bit of everything, including rocketry. Why order from them if they don't have a big selection? Because Amazon is totally dependable. If you find a satisfying product on Amazon and order it, you know your item will be shipped quickly, packaged so the contents are protected, and the item you receive will be the one you paid to purchase.
You can always contact a customer service person at Amazon who will help with a problem or answer questions. Though you may not get an instant response, you will get a response. When you click on the "Phone" tab, you'll see a block with "Use our Call Me Service" prominently featured. But look to the right, you'll see the direct telephone number to reach a live human in Customer Service.
Amazon.com is reliable, but it's like a hobby shop — selling a little, not much, of everything. Its stock of rocketry is limited, so this is more a site for novices than for those who are really interested in becoming rocketeers.
